Table of Contents
Hyperlinks
This is a selection of sites; some of them I use so often that I've included in my custom home page (which isn't here). Others, not so much... but they may be edifying, useful, and/or interesting to visitors.
Online Bibles
(There are more, but these are some of my favorites.)
Bible Gateway - Good audio and reading functionality. Ads are irritating, though.
Biblehub - Good study tools.
Blue Letter Bible - The phone app may be better than the website, but it features useful resources that are absent or inconvenient on the others.
KJV Parallel Bible - A useful source for comparing Textus Receptus and Critical Text readings.
Hosting Resources
Shock Hosting - My current web host. Good quality and modern software for a good price.
DigitalOcean - They offer good rates for hosting, although many of their services are for more advanced webmasters (or those with more time). They also offer tutorials and recommendation for novices.
NameCheap - My current domain name provider. Their prices are good, and they don't try to trick you into things.
OWASP - For cyber security information.
Google Search Console - I don't particularly like search engines, but at present it is a necessary evil to account for them. This is the best tool I know of to evaluate your search performance.
Google SEO Resources - Technically this is more like a manual, but it goes well with hosting resources.
Tech Manuals & More
PHP Manual - One of my favorites. The online version is good; the local version is usable.
MDN JS Manuals - MDN also features extensive HTML and CSS documentation, which is more accessible than the official standards.
MySQL Manual - My unfortunate experience is that this is almost impenetrable, but I have been helped by it a time or two.
MariaDB Manual - Overlaps in most ways with the MySQL manual, but it features a convenient PDF for offline use.
HTML Standard (Dev) - Good reference, although sometimes it does little to distinguish between the essential and the peripheral.
CSS Standard - When you need it, you need it. It's painful to navigate and wouldn't be my first stop.
Can I Use...? - Helps determine whether a feature is likely to be supported by users' browsers.
Tools
General things I've seen or used before that are particularly helpful.
Random.org - Uses atmospheric noise to generate the most random electronically-derived numbers we're likely to find.
WorkWithColor's Picker - There are other HSL pickers, but I've found this to be my favorite. I love the luminance option, and it links to other related resources.
Bitwarden - A capable password manager.
Unicode Charts - Useful for finding obscure symbols.
Our Other Pages
Other things run by us, or that didn't fit conveniently somewhere else on the site.
SooperGrape - My father's grape seed extract resource page. The original home of these pages.
Tech Demonstrations - Little demos that aren't big enough or important enough to merit a whole feature.
